Dr. David Guralnick's E-Learning Design Course:
"Workplace E-Learning: Creating an Effective E-learning User Experience"

David Guralnick's e-learning "user experience design" course is again being offered as an 8-week online course!

Learn to create engaging, effective e-learning that's based on research from the fields of education, motivation, cognitive psychology and software usability, and see demonstrations of successful e-learning sites!   Previous attendees have  appreciated the class--check out their testimonials!

Online Course - Registration is open to anyone!
This course will not require online attendance at particular times, you can do all work "asynchronously" each week as it suits your schedule. Optional one-hour live sessions with Dr. Guralnick will also be held each week; these will remain available via video to watch at your convenience.
Before the course begins, all registrants will receive access to the online site used to host the course as well as access to all readings that will be used.
A certificate of completion can be emailed upon request to participants who complete the course.

Course Overview
This course will focus on the design of e-learning in workplace environments, from a perspective that looks to put academic research into practice. You'll learn creative techniques to design e-learning that is educationally-sound, engaging, and effective. Real-world cases, including numerous video-based demonstrations of real-life courses and sites, will be used to explore uses of e-learning in the workplace for both training and “just-in-time” performance support purposes.

  • A learning-by-doing approach: As a course project, you'll design an e-learning or performance product for a real-life workplace situation.
     

About the Instructor
Dr. Guralnick has been designing e-learning for Fortune 500 and non-profit clients for over 20 years. Along with being president of Kaleidoscope Learning, he is the recipient of numerous design awards, a regular keynote speaker at industry events, an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University for nearly 10 years, President of the International E-Learning Association, the founder of the New York E-Learning Group for ASTD (the American Society for Training & Development), and the founder and chair of the International Conference on E-Learning in the Workplace (ICELW), now in its fifth year.
