Once your training and performance-support products
have been released, you'll want--and need--to know how people are using
them: where they're succeeding, where there's room for improvement.
There are many ways to get Web data, but "Web usage" reporting tools
provide data in a form that, at best, requires lots of interpretation
in order to gather any useful information. In contrast, we've designed
the Encompass™ Usage Data Reports to answer real educational and business
problems.
For
example:
- What
phrases do people commonly search for, but when the search results
are returned, they choose not to make a selection? If you see this
happening, learners think the information indexed to the topic is
not useful.
- What
percentage of learners fail to complete a training scenario? At
which point do they most commonly stop? This may indicate that the
common stopping point in the scenario is confusing, or that the
scenario to that point has already given learners what they need.
-
What links are rarely (or never) used by anyone? Perhaps some pages
and links are unnecessary and are simply cluttering up the site.
Coupled
with your curiosity, the Encompass™ usage data can help improve your
e-learning, or even fine-tune a business process. Encompass™ gives you
the data--you provide the analysis.
