Improving Online Learning
for Health Workers

Overview

Medicines for Humanity (MFH) partnered with Kaleidoscope Learning to optimize their online learning program, Learning for Humanity (L4H), which strengthens health systems by equipping Catholic Sisters and frontline health workers with vital healthcare skills. We provided a strategic, multi-faceted evaluation that went beyond surface-level analysis.

Challenge

MFH was looking to improve, optimize, and expand their online learning program.

Our Solution

We provided MFH with strategic consulting services focused on enhancing the online learning platform. This process involved gathering stakeholder and learner feedback, suggesting improvements to the courses' learning design, and aligning the platform with the organization's brand and marketing strategies to create a more motivating and learner-centered experience for health workers.

Timeline

4 Months

Our Approach

How we tackled the challenges step by step.

1

We conducted a thorough evaluation of the platform's learning design effectiveness, including reviewing existing courses, analyzing discussion forum usage, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing course activities.

2

We prioritized gathering feedback from all key stakeholders, including conducting interviews with users of the courses as well as the MFH design and development team.

3

We carefully aligned our recommendations with Medicines for Humanity's overall brand and marketing strategies.

4

We finalized and compiled our recommendations for an improved learner-centered experience.

“Kaleidoscope Learning brought deep expertise in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, helping us understand how our students, many of whom access courses via mobile phones in the Global South, actually interact with our platform. Their guidance helped us make our courses more accessible, intuitive, and effective for frontline health workers operating in low-resource settings”
